2016 Restaurant Line Up

On Saturday, October 15th, The Taste of Mexico Association held its 6th Annual CulinaryFestival in the beautiful courtyard of LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes, LA’s dedicated museum to Mexican American history and culture. Taste of Mexico continues to make history as the city’s flagship event during Hispanic Heritage Month, welcoming over 5,500 guests to a sold-out event. Patrons enjoyed tastings from a curated selection of all-inclusive tastings from 38 from Southern California’s Top Mexican Chefs and James Beard Award-Winning Mexican Restaurants.

In addition, this year’s event featured a Baja Gastronomic Pavilion from the state of Baja California, as well as Estrella Jalisco’s Beer Garden, our famous Mezcalería Craft Cocktail bars, and our Tequila Tasting Tent to round out the most authentic flavors of Mexico with over 60 vendors! Patrons took part of celebration while dancing the night away to live musical performances by the cumbia collective Metralleta de Oro, Son Jarocho band, and our music headliner from Mexico City, El Conjunto Nueva Ola.

It was a night to remember, thanks in part to your support to promote the best of Mexican cuisine and culture in Los Angeles.
